All age groups will be 6 a side (maximum squads of 8), with Under 7s, Under 8s & the Under 8/9 Girls (providing we have sufficient entries at this category) playing a friendly tournament in accordance with the new 2008/9 FA guidelines re competitive football. All players in these friendly competitions will receive a memento. In the other age groups, as previously since it has proved to be a very popular format, we shall be playing an initial League phase, followed by a Knockout Tournament for a Cup & a Shield, giving these age groups four chances to gain a winners or runners up medal.

Early entry is recommended as last year, whilst we were able to accommodate 185 teams, we had to turn away over 90 entries. The initial closing date is 31st March at which time the Tournament Committee will assign places based on a number of criteria including date of receipt of entry, past support of the event & a desire to encourage new teams too. Confirmation of successful applicants will be sent out shortly after this, at which point payment will then be presented to the bank. Please do not assume your entry has been successful until receiving this notification although I will be happy to receive email enquires from early March if you want to gauge the state of play. Multiple entries are welcome & will be satisfied, space permitting.

If you have any queries please do not hesitate to contact me.

Yours sincerely
Graham Withers
